Chen Pan-Ling taiji classes starting 14 March!

Following his recent acceptance as an inner circle student of Master Chen Yun-Ching, Shifu Dan is starting classes in Chen Pan-Ling internal arts at honbu dojo (the Bayswater Martial Arts and Yoga Centre), commencing with an 8 week course in taijiquan (t'ai chi chuan) commencing on 14 March 2009. The classes will take place on Saturdays from 9.30 to 10.30 am. Students of the Academy are encouraged to attend and bring any friends who might be interested.

This is a rare opportunity to learn the highly respected art of the late Chen Pan-Ling, responsible for preserving (in one form) the essence of the major taijiquan styles that were facing extinction in the face of the Japanese invasion and later the Communist takeover.

The art has been faithfully preserved by Chen Pan-Ling's son, Chen Yun-Ching and the responsibility has now been passed onto Shifu Dan as the next generation.

In future classes, students wishing to learn other Chen Pan-Ling arts (eg. xingyiquan and baguazhang) will be welcome to train at the same time with correction by Shifu Dan and his assistant instructor Trevor Aungthan.
