The 2006 intensive training was completed on Saturday 14 October with our annual beach training. Judging by the attendance and spirit throughout the week, the course was a huge success. Well done to all the participants, particularly those who achieved 100% (details to follow)!

Dan's Taiwan Trip

Well, I'm back! And what an exhausting, exhilarating, emotional and mind-bending time it was. I met a wonderful group of people, made some lifelong friends, learned/grooved some amazing material and experienced a world of fascinating sights, sounds, smells, textures and tastes.

I have prepared a video diary in 5 parts and I've posted a fairly comprehensive list of photographs here.

Needless to say the most profound and moving experience of all was the bai shi ceremony - something I shall treasure for the rest of my days. My thanks go out to Master Chen Yun-Ching, James Sumarac and Shou Mei Sumarac for all their efforts in arranging and coordinating an event that not only pulled off smoothly but which provided us with such amazing experiences and opportunities. I also want to thank all the students of the Academy who helped fund my trip. As Master Chen will testify, I took very seriously my responsibility to bring back as much accurate knowledge and information as I could, and I look forward to sharing it with you all.
